Bitsgap vs Veles: Profit Share vs Subscription, Priced at Three Deposit Sizes
Veles charges 20% of gross profit with a $50 monthly cap per market type. Bitsgap charges a fixed plan from $23 a month. We ran the fee math at three deposit sizes, found where the lines cross, and listed the downsides of each model.
Last updated: September 23, 2026. Prices checked on both official pricing pages on that date.
Short answer. Veles charges 20% of the gross profit from each winning trade and stops charging once you hit $50 in a month for spot, and another $50 for futures. Bitsgap charges a fixed plan: $23 a month on annual Basic billing, $29 month to month. Below about $115 of monthly booked profit, Veles costs less. Above $250, Veles becomes a flat $50 fee and Bitsgap Basic is cheaper.
Neither model is cheaper for everyone. What you pay depends on how much your bots book each month, which markets you trade, and how your losing months look.
Key numbers at a glance
- Veles fee: 20% of gross profit on profitable trades, capped at 50 USDT per month for spot and 50 USDT for futures.12
- Bitsgap fee: Basic $23/month billed annually ($29 monthly), Advanced $55 ($69), Pro $119 ($149).3
- Break-even vs Bitsgap Basic: $115 of gross monthly profit (annual billing) or $145 (monthly billing).
- Where Veles stops growing: $250 of gross profit per market type in a month. Past that point Veles is a $50 flat fee per market type.
- Veles maximum: $600 a year per market type, $1,200 a year if you trade both spot and futures.
- Bitsgap Basic, annual billing: $276 a year, whatever the bots book.
How each platform charges
Veles runs a profit-share model. Bots, the trading terminal and basic backtests are free.1 After every profitable closed trade, Veles deducts 20% of that trade's gross profit from an internal Veles balance, a separate wallet you top up to pay commissions.2 Once the deductions reach 50 USDT for the month in one market type, they stop until the first of the next month.24
Bitsgap runs a subscription. You pick a plan, and the price stays the same whether your bots have a strong month, a flat one or a losing one. The plan decides what you can run: bot counts, futures access, backtest depth.3

The fee formulas, one line each
- Veles: fee = min(20% × gross profit from winning trades, $50), counted separately for spot and futures.
- Bitsgap: fee = plan price.
The whole comparison comes down to where your monthly gross profit sits against three numbers: $115, $145 and $250.
The math at three deposit sizes
The profit figures below are inputs to the fee formula. They are hypothetical round numbers chosen to show where the fee curves cross. They are not return forecasts for either platform, and crypto bots can and do lose money. All scenarios assume spot trading only.
$500 deposit

At this size a paid subscription can cost more than the bots book. A $23 plan against $15 of gross profit leaves you $8 down before exchange fees. On Veles, the same month costs $3.
For a $500 account, Veles is the cheaper live option. The Bitsgap Free plan works for learning the mechanics in demo, with up to 20 active demo bots, before real money goes in.3
$5,000 deposit

This is the crossover zone. A quiet month favors Veles. From about $115 of gross profit (or $145 against monthly billing), Bitsgap Basic costs less. At $300 the Veles cap kicks in and you pay $50, roughly double the Basic plan.
One caveat for this size: Bitsgap Basic allows 3 active GRID bots and 10 active DCA bots and does not include futures bots.3 If you need more, compare Veles against Advanced ($55 or $69), and the break-even moves to $275–$345 of gross monthly profit, which is above the Veles cap. In that setup Veles stays cheaper or equal every month.
$50,000 deposit

At this size, most active months push Veles to its cap, so both platforms turn into flat fees. The question becomes which flat fee fits your setup:
- Spot only, within Basic limits: Bitsgap Basic saves $21–$27 a month against a capped Veles month.
- Spot only, needing Advanced limits or trailing: Veles at $50 undercuts Advanced at $55–$69.
- Spot plus futures: Veles caps at $100 a month ($50 per market type). Bitsgap Advanced covers both for $55–$69.
Why the "20% of profit" argument has a ceiling
The usual case against profit share goes like this: a fee that grows with your profit punishes you for doing well. Pay 20% on $100 and you lose $20. Pay 20% on $10,000 and you'd lose $2,000, while a subscriber keeps everything above the plan price.
Veles removes most of that argument with its cap. The fee grows only until your winning trades book $250 in a month per market type. After that, a Veles trader and a Bitsgap trader both pay a fixed amount, and the gap between them is $21 to $27 a month on spot at Basic limits.
So the real trade-off sits lower down the curve. Profit share rewards small accounts and slow months. A subscription rewards consistent activity above $115–$145 of gross monthly profit and traders who want one price that covers both spot and futures.
The losing-month test
Veles counts only the "Profit" value in your statistics. Losses from stop-losses are not deducted, and the 20% is taken from gross profit before exchange fees.25
Example: in one month your bots close $200 of winning trades and $260 of losing trades. Net result: −$60. Veles still charges 20% of $200, so $40. Bitsgap charges the same $23 or $29 as any other month.
Neither outcome is free. On Veles you pay nothing in a month with no profitable closed trades. On Bitsgap you pay the plan even in that month. In a choppy month with many small wins and a few large stop-outs, Veles can charge you close to its cap while the account is down.
Bot types

Veles is built around DCA-style bots with custom entry logic and a marketplace of ready-made strategies. Bitsgap covers more bot families, including grid variants and COMBO for futures. Check the Veles grid status on its site before you plan a range strategy there.
Exchanges
Veles lists Binance, Bybit, OKX, BingX, Bitget, HTX, Gate.io and Hyperliquid, plus its own Veles Broker account, which runs without an API key.65
Bitsgap supports 17 exchanges, including Binance, Binance US, Bybit, OKX, Bitget, Kraken, Coinbase, KuCoin, Crypto.com, Gemini, Bitfinex, Gate, HTX, BitMart, Poloniex, WhiteBIT and HitBTC.37
Both platforms cover Binance, Bybit, OKX, Bitget, Gate and HTX. If you trade on Kraken, Coinbase, KuCoin or Gemini, Veles doesn't list them. If you trade on BingX, Veles covers it and Bitsgap doesn't list it.
Both connect through exchange API keys with trading rights and no withdrawal rights, so funds stay on the exchange.1
Backtesting and demo
This is one area where Veles is clearly stronger on paper.
Veles backtests run on a "years" balance: test length in years × number of pairs. The free tier adds 5 years a day (15-year maximum balance, one test at a time). Paid tiers cost $15, $29 and $69 a month, and Market Scan and parameter optimization need the $29 Pro or $69 Quant tier.8 Heavy backtesting on Veles adds a subscription on top of the profit share.
Bitsgap backtests are included in the plan, with depth tied to it: up to 30 days on Basic, 180 on Advanced and 365 on Pro.3 The backtest uses your connected exchange's actual trading fees when available.9
Demo trading: Bitsgap's Free plan includes up to 20 active demo bots with no real funds.3 We didn't find a paper-trading mode in Veles documentation as of this update; Veles's low minimums (1 USDT on futures, 10 USDT for a spot grid) serve a similar "start small" role with real money.5
What to check on each platform
On Veles:
- Your likely gross monthly profit per market type. Below $115, profit share is the cheaper model.
- Your stop-loss habits. Losses aren't netted, so frequent stop-outs raise your effective fee rate.
- The internal balance. Keep it topped up, or open trades get closed.
- Backtest volume. If you scan many pairs over long periods, add $15–$69 a month.
- Grid bot availability, if range trading is your main strategy.
On Bitsgap:
- Plan limits. Basic covers 3 GRID and 10 DCA bots and no futures bots; futures start on Advanced.
- Monthly vs annual billing. Annual saves $72 a year on Basic.
- Backtest depth. Basic tests up to 30 days back; longer history needs Advanced or Pro.
- Your quiet months. The plan price stays the same when bots book little.
- Exchange fit. Kraken, Coinbase and KuCoin are supported here and not on Veles.
Downsides on both sides
Veles
- The fee is taken from gross profit, before exchange fees, and losing trades don't reduce it.
- Two caps, not one: spot and futures traders can pay up to $100 a month.
- An empty internal balance closes active trades.
- Serious backtesting is a separate paid plan.
- Fewer bot families; grid status needs checking.
Bitsgap
- You pay the plan in months when bots book nothing.
- For accounts around $500, a paid plan can exceed monthly gross profit.
- Futures bots and trailing need Advanced ($55–$69).
- Backtests reach back 30–365 days, shorter than Veles's multi-year history.
Who each fits
Veles fits you if your account is small, your bots book under roughly $115 a month, you trade DCA-style strategies on Binance, Bybit, OKX, BingX or Hyperliquid, or you want to start without any fixed cost.
Bitsgap fits you if your bots regularly book more than $145 a month on spot, you run both spot and futures and want one price, you need GRID, COMBO, LOOP, BTD or QFL bots, or you trade on Kraken, Coinbase or KuCoin.
Side-by-side summary

Test the math on your own setup. Run a demo bot on Bitsgap with no real funds, check what a month of trades looks like, then compare that number against the $115 and $250 lines above. 7-day PRO trial, no credit card required.
