The **No Trading Zone**, also known as the **Exchange Fee Zone**, is an area on your trading graph where no orders are placed due to the grid step and the trading fee of your exchange.

### **What is the "No Trading" Zone?**

The "No Trading" zone is essentially a gap where no buy or sell orders are created. This happens because:

- The grid step and exchange fees create a space where the system prevents placing new orders to avoid negative outcomes.
- The zone is calculated as **2 times the grid step** plus **2 times the exchange’s trading fee**.

**Note**This zone does not result in missed trading opportunities.

### **How It Works:**

- The "No Trading" zone appears between the nearest buy and sell orders.
- The **completed buy order** in the middle has already triggered the closest sell order.
- There is no need for additional buy or sell orders in this zone because the next order to be placed will happen once the opposite order (buy or sell) is filled.

- Consider the **bottom sell order**. Once it is executed, the system places a new buy order at the next sell level.
- This ensures that the "No Trading" zone remains clear, with orders spaced according to the grid step and exchange fees.

The **Trailing Down** feature enables your bot to expand its grid below the initial price range, allowing it to follow a down-trending market and continue trading even as prices drop.

### **How Trailing Down Works**

1. **Extending the Grid:**
   
   - The price falls below the lower grid limit → the bot executes **market buy order** using the quote currency to acquire more base currency at market price.
   - A new sell order is placed below the previous grid level (and becomes the new lower price level of the bot), creating an extended grid.

- Repeats the process as the price drops, extending the grid until the Stop Trailing Down price is reached or there are insufficient funds to place new buy orders.

2. **Stop Trailing Down Price:**
   
   - This is the threshold where the bot stops creating new orders.
   - You can set this for both new and existing bots.

**Note**: The bot requires enough funds in the quote currency to execute buy orders. Existing base currency on your account is ignored.

### **Super Sell Orders**

If an exchange's order limit is reached (e.g., 100 orders for most exchanges or 180 for Binance/KuCoin), the bot combines smaller sell orders into **one large Super Sell Order** based on a weighted average price.

#### **Note:**

- Super Sell Orders are larger in volume and may appear far from the original grid.
- There may be several Super Sell Orders.
- You can identify them in the open orders tab of your bot.

### **How to Enable Trailing Down**

**Note:** You can enable Trailing Down only for GRID bots with the quote currency as an order size currency. To maintain the trailing down feature without interruptions, it is essential to have an available quote currency on your account balance.

#### **For a New Bot:**

1. Go to the **Manual Adjustment** section during bot setup.
2. Toggle **Trailing Down** ON.
3. Enter the **Stop Trailing Down price** - the price to which the bot will expand the grid (can also be adjusted on the chart).
4. Disable or enable **Pump Protection** (enabled by default).

#### **For an Active Bot:**

1. Select the bot you wish to modify.
2. Click **\[Bot Actions] → \[Modify Bot]**.
3. Enable the **Trailing Down** toggle.
4. Set the **Stop Trailing Down price**.
5. Disable or enable **Pump Protection**.
6. Confirm the changes.

### **Important Notes**

1. **Pump Protection:**
   
   - Temporarily disables Trailing Down during high market volatility.
   - Automatically resumes once the market stabilizes.
2. **Risk Considerations:**
   
   - Trailing Down increases your bot’s investment by using additional funds from your balance.
   - The feature does not generate profit in a declining market—profit comes from upward price rebounds and execution of new sell orders.
3. **Investment Expansion:**
   
   - The bot’s exposure to price fluctuations grows with each grid extension.

Trading cryptocurrencies involves high risk and may not suit all traders. Trailing Down increases exposure to the market, and profits depend on upward price movements after new sell orders are created. Ensure you fully understand the risks before enabling this feature.

### More Grids: Frequent Small Profits

- **Benefit**: Higher chance of filling orders.

- **Best For**: Traders who prefer frequent, consistent trades with smaller gains.

### Fewer Grids: Larger Profits Per Trade

- **Benefit**: Higher profit per grid.
- **Trade-Off**: Lower probability of orders being filled.

Profit per grid is determined by the price movement within the grid, adjusted for trading fees. Here's a simple breakdown:

#### **Formula**

Profit per grid = Grid step % - (Trading fee % × 2)

### **How It Works**

1. **Grid Step and Trading Fee**
   
   - **Example**: Grid step = 0.5%, trading fee = 0.1%.
   - Buy and sell orders are spaced at **0.5%**, but to ensure profitability, the sell order is placed at:  
     **Grid step + (2 × trading fee)** = **0.5% + 0.2% = 0.7%**.
2. **Profit Calculation**
   
   - The effective profit is the spacing between buy and sell orders after deducting the fees:  
     **0.7% (spacing) - 0.2% (total fees)** = **0.5% profit per grid**.

The bot ensures that trading fees are accounted for before placing orders. This guarantees no negative trades while maintaining profitability.

The **Detailed View** window provides a comprehensive overview of your bot’s real-time performance, allowing you to track its **profitability, asset allocation, and how market movements impact your funds**.

This window also displays **trading duration, charts, transaction history, average daily profit, and the balance between quote and base currencies in open orders**.

### **How to Access the Detailed View Window**

To open the bot information panel:

1. Navigate to the [**Bots page**](https://app.bitsgap.com/bot).
2. Select the bot you want to analyze.

You will find the **Performance** window on the right-hand side. This section allows you to **evaluate your bot’s effectiveness and analyze its performance in detail**.

Each section of the Performance window provides key insights into your bot's activity, helping you **determine whether to keep it running or adjust its settings**.

### **1. Analyze Profit & Market Impact**

This section displays your bot’s **accumulated profit, daily earnings, and the impact of market price fluctuations on your position**.

- **Bot Profit** – The total profit generated by the bot (after trading fees), which is **automatically added to your available balance**.
- **Average Daily Profit** – This metric divides the total bot profit by the total trading duration to provide insight into **daily performance**.
- **Position PNL (Profit & Loss)** – Reflects the unrealized profit or loss **due to changes in the base currency price**. The final value depends on whether the bot is **closed or remains active**.

#### **Viewing Profit Data**

You can visualize the bot’s profit using:

- **Line Chart** – Displays cumulative bot profit over time.
- **Bar Graph** – Shows realized profit for selected timeframes.

To switch between charts, click the graph icon in the top right corner:

#### **Available Timeframes**

You can analyze bot performance over different intervals using the following options:

- **1d (Hourly Chart)** – Last 24 hours.
- **1w (Daily Chart)** – Last 7 days.
- **1m (Daily Chart)** – Last 31 days.
- **All (Monthly Chart)** – Displays monthly data if the bot has been running for over a month.

💡 **Tip:**

- A **flat line** on the **line chart** suggests the bot has **stopped generating profit**, possibly because it went out of range.
- **Thin or disappearing bars** on the **bar chart** indicate reduced trading activity or an idle bot due to market conditions.

### **2. Monitor Position Status**

The **Position** section provides key details about the bot’s open orders, including:

- **Position PNL** – The current unrealized profit or loss, displayed both **as an absolute value and a percentage**.
- **Amount** – The total **funds allocated to open orders**.
- **Entry Price** – The **average price** at which the bot has accumulated the base currency.

### **3. Evaluate Asset Allocation & Order Balances**

The **Asset Allocation** section helps you track:

- **Base & Quote Currency Distribution** – The ratio of **funds in open orders**.
- **Total Profit** – The accumulated realized profit since the bot was launched.
- **Current Position** – The amount of **base currency held in open orders**.
- **Orders** – The **amount of quote currency allocated** in open orders.

#### **Visualizing Asset Allocation**

You can switch between the **pie chart and line diagram** by clicking the icons in the top right corner:

💡 **Key Insights:**

- If the bot holds **more quote currency (e.g., USDT) and less base currency (e.g., BTC)**, it means that **sell orders have been executed** as the price has increased.
- If the bot holds **more base currency and less quote currency**, it means that **buy orders have been executed** as the price has dropped.
- If the bot **holds only base or only quote currency**, it has likely **moved out of the trading range**, and manual adjustments may be required.

### **4. Track Trading Activity & Duration**

The **General Info** section provides:

- The **number of completed transactions**.
- The **total trading time** since the bot was launched.

The **Bot Orders** tab displays your active trades and lets you restore orders that were canceled or are missing, known as **grey grids**.

### **Why Are There Grey Lines?**

Grey levels represent missing orders. Possible reasons include:

- **Exchange technical issues**
- **Insufficient funds** in the account
- **Funds moved or withdrawn**
- **Manual cancellation** of orders within the grid

### **Restoring Missing Orders:**

To restore any missing orders, follow these steps:

1. **Access Bot Orders**:
   
   - Click on your bot.
   - Open the "Bot actions" tab on the right side and select **\[View details]** → **\[Bot Orders]**.

### **What is a Pump and Dump Strategy?**

The **Pump and Dump (P&D)** scheme is used by speculative traders to manipulate a coin's value artificially.

1. **Pump:** The price of a coin is intentionally inflated to attract buyers.
2. **Dump:** Once the price peaks, assets are sold, causing the value to crash within minutes.

While some traders profit from this strategy, it carries a high risk of instant losses.

### **How Pump Protection Works**

1. **For GRID and BTD Bots:**
   
   - Pump Protection is **enabled by default** when Trailing features (Trailing Up or Trailing Down) are activated.
   - If abnormal price movement is detected, the bot’s status changes to **“Pump”**:
     
     - **Trailing Up** stops adjusting grids upward.
     - **Trailing Down** stops adding grids downward.
   - Disabling it increases risk, particularly for volatile trading pairs.
2. **For DCA Bots:**
   
   - Prevents opening positions during abnormal price fluctuations (applies to both "Immediately" and "By indicator" signal options).
   - Pump Protection remains mandatory for BTD Bots when Trailing features are active.

### **How to Configure Pump Protection**

#### **New GRID Bots:**

1. In the **Manual Adjustment** section during bot setup:
   
   - The **Pump Protection** toggle is enabled by default.
   - You can deactivate it if necessary.

#### **New BTD Bots:**

1. The Trailing feature is enabled by default, and Pump Protection cannot be disabled.
2. To deactivate Pump Protection, turn off the Trailing feature entirely during bot setup.

#### **New DCA Bots:**

1. Navigate to the **Manual Adjustment** section.
2. Under **Risk Management tools**, the Pump/Dump Protection toggle is enabled by default.
3. You can choose to disable it if needed.

### **What is Take Profit?**

When the **Total PNL** (Profit and Loss) of the active bot reaches the profit percentage you set in the Take Profit parameter, the bot stops trading. This ensures that profits are realized and not impacted by future market fluctuations.

The **Take Profit** feature helps you lock in returns by stopping the bot and executing specific actions once your profit target is met:

- **GRID Bot:** Sells all base currency used in open orders.
- **BTD Bot:** Buys back base currency using the quote currency from open orders.

**Examples:**

1. **GRID Bot Example:**
   
   - Trading Pair: ETH/BTC
   - Take Profit: 15%
   - When Total PNL reaches **+15% in BTC**, the bot will:
     
     - Close all orders.
     - Sell the remaining ETH.
     - Move to the **History** tab.
2. **BTD Bot Example:**
   
   - Trading Pair: ETH/USDT
   - Take Profit: 15%
   - When Total PNL reaches **+15% in ETH**, the bot will:
     
     - Close all orders.
     - Buy back ETH using all USDT from open orders.
     - Move to the **History** tab.

### **How to Use Backtest**

#### **1. Running a Backtest**

Once you have configured or adjusted your bot’s settings, click the **\[Backtest]** button to initiate the performance evaluation. A new window will display the estimated bot performance for the selected time frame, based on past market data.

Each time you open the Backtest window, the system retrieves your current exchange fee (if available) to keep the calculation aligned with your real trading conditions.

#### **2. Selecting a Time Interval**

The time interval can be set for evaluation by changing the date range. Data **up to 30 previous days** from the current date is available for evaluation (up to **90 days for Pro Plan** users).

To customize the evaluation period:

- Open the **calendar tool** in the Backtest window.
- Select the **start date**, then the **end date**.
- Click the **blue button** to confirm the selected period.

The system will then recalculate the bot’s performance based on the chosen timeframe.

#### **3. Testing Different Settings**

To analyze performance under different conditions:

- Return to the **bot settings menu**.
- Modify the parameters (such as grid levels or investment amount).
- Run the **Backtest** again to compare results.

This process helps refine bot settings before deploying them in live trading.

#### **4. How Backtest Accounts for Exchange Fees**

Backtest now reflects **your individual trading fees** (maker/taker) from the connected exchange — in both **Live** and **Demo**.  
**How it works:**  
— When you open the Backtest window, Bitsgap requests your current fee via the exchange API (subscription/tier).  
— If an individual fee is found, Backtest applies it.  
— If not, Backtest uses the **standard** trading fee of that exchange for the selected market.  
— On the first Backtest run for an exchange where a custom fee is applied, you’ll see a one‑time hint: **“Custom fee applied. Your backtest results reflect your individual trading fees.”**

The **Backtest** tool is a great way to assess the potential efficiency of a bot, but actual results may vary based on real-time market conditions. Always consider **risk factors** and market volatility when making trading decisions.

**About fees.** Backtest results already include trading fees. Minor deviations from live performance are still possible due to market slippage, rounding and the dynamic nature of exchange discounts.

### **What is Stop Loss?**

**Stop Loss** is designed to protect your investment by closing your trading bot when the market price reaches a specific condition. This feature ensures you exit the market automatically, limiting your losses during unfavorable price movements. When Triggered:

1. All open orders from the bot are canceled.
2. The bot:
   
   - **GRID Bot:** Sells the base currency at the best available market price.
   - **BTD Bot:** Buys back the base currency using the quote currency.
3. The bot is moved to the **Bot History** tab, and its activity stops.

**Note**The Stop Loss executes via a market order at the best available price. The actual execution price may differ slightly from the trigger price due to market conditions.

### **Key Features of Stop Loss**

1. **Flexible Placement:**
   
   - Stop Loss can be set inside the grid range.
   - Orders beyond the Stop Loss level will remain unfilled.
2. **Static vs. Dynamic Stop Loss:**
   
   - **Static Stop Loss:**
     
     - Permanent when Trailing features are disabled.
   - **Dynamic Stop Loss:**
     
     - When **Trailing Up (GRID Bot)** or **Trailing (BTD Bot)** is enabled, Stop Loss follows the grid at a fixed interval whenever it moves.
3. **Customizable Behavior:**
   
   - You can disable **Trailing Stop Loss** for GRID Bots.
   - In this case, the bot will trail upward when the price exceeds the grid’s high range, while the Stop Loss remains fixed.

\- Crypto pairs (e.g., XXX/BTC): Lower investment due to smaller order limits.

2. **Order Placement Logic:**
   
   - Each grid level requires a proportional order.
   - To prevent issues with rising prices, **minimum order size is multiplied by 2**.

- On Binance, the minimum order size for XXX/USDT pairs is **10 USD**.
- For 180 grids, the required investment = **10 USD × 2 × 180 = 3,600 USD**.

The **Current Value** indicates the total value of funds managed by each bot, combining both the base and quote currencies:

- Helpful for comparing bots with similar trading durations.

**Tip:** Bots with shorter trading times may appear more profitable initially, so ensure fair comparisons by aligning their durations.

The bot uses a fixed quote currency amount per order. As the price rises:

- The amount of base currency the bot can purchase decreases.
- Eventually, the base currency amount falls below the **exchange’s minimum order size**, halting grid movement.

**Your Options:**

- Wait for the price to drop back into the current grid.
- Stop the bot and create a new one with updated settings.

### **2. Unfilled Buy Orders (Temporary)**

If the price surpasses the upper grid limit:

- The last sell order is filled, and the bot runs out of base currency to sell.
- The bot will wait for the price to drop, triggering new buy orders.

This process is normal. Once buy orders are filled, the grid will automatically reset and shift upwards.
