Updating API Key Permissions with Trusted IP Addresses
To ensure the security of your exchange account, API keys without IP access restrictions will not be accepted by the system. To continue using Bitsgap with your API keys, updating the API key's permissions to include a list of trusted IP addresses is necessary.
Quick Navigation:
Currently, there are only 4 exchanges that require mandatory IP whitelisting:
Fast Replace
Info
The Fast Replace option is available only for the Binance and OKX exchanges.
1. Go to Bitsgap > My Exchanges page
After opening the tab, click [More] (the three dots) next to your exchange, then choose [Replace API key].
2. Renew the API key
Please proceed to renew the API key by clicking the [Replace] button in order to update your API key settings.
3. Check the connection status
The system will generate a new API key for your Binance or OKX account using “the Bitsgap_com” name and connect it to Bitsgap automatically. The created API key will contain all the necessary settings required for trading.
After your API key has the Connected status, it will be ready for use.
Manual Replace
1. Go to Bitsgap > My Exchanges page
Once the tab is open, click [More] (the three dots) next to your exchange, then select [Replace API key].
2. Copy Bitsgap's IP addresses
In the Manual Replace window, copy the list of trusted IP addresses (by clicking the 'Copy' icon) and save them for now (in a notepad, for example). We will need these IP addresses later when setting up your API permissions.
3. Log in to your exchange and navigate to the API page
Log in to your exchange account and go to the API page in your account settings.
4. Create and label your API key
To set up a new API key, click [Create API] and then give it a descriptive name, so you can easily recognize that this key connects to your Bitsgap account.
5. Match API key restrictions
Now, it's necessary to edit the restrictions on your API key. This will allow our platform to process your trading activity in your exchange account.
Attention
Before editing your API permissions, be sure to copy the API key and Secret Key somewhere safe. Otherwise, after changing API key permissions, the Secret key becomes hidden, and you will need to start over again.

- Paste your API key.
- Paste your Secret key.
- Paste your Passphrase (if applicable).
- Click [Replace].
7. Check the connection status
If everything is done correctly, you should see your exchange listed as Connected with your available trading balance updated in your account.
