How to Connect Asterdex to Bitsgap

This guide explains how to create your Asterdex API key and connect it to the Bitsgap platform for automated and manual trading.

Creating the Asterdex API Key

Follow the steps below to generate your API key in Asterdex.

1. Log in to Your Asterdex Account

• Go to your Asterdex account.
• If your wallet is not connected yet, connect it first (e.g., MetaMask, WalletConnect).

2. Open API Management

• Click More in the top navigation.
• Select API Management.

• Click Create API

3. Create the API Key

A pop-up window will appear:

• Assign a label to your new API key (for example, “Bitsgap”).
• Fill out the field IP Restrictions with the IPs from your Bitsgap account.
  
• Click Create API Key.

• In your wallet app, confirm the request.

4. Copy and Save Your Keys

• Asterdex will display API Key and Secret Key. Copy both keys and store them securely.

• Click Confirm to complete the process.

5. Adjust the permissions of the key

• Go to the API Management page and find your key.

• Click on "Edit" button.

  

• Ensure to check the following permissions: 
  • Enable Futures
  • Enable Spot Trading
• Save the changes.

Connecting Asterdex to Bitsgap

After creating your API key, follow the steps below to connect Asterdex to Bitsgap.

1. Go to Bitsgap → My Exchanges

• Log in to your Bitsgap account and navigate to My Exchanges.
• Click + Add new exchange.

2. Select Asterdex

In the pop-up window:

• Choose Asterdex from the list of supported exchanges.
• Enter your API Key and Secret Key.
• Click Connect.

3. Verify the Connection

Once the connection is successful:

• Asterdex will appear in your exchange list with a Connected status.
• Your available trading balance will be visible in Bitsgap.
