How to Connect Aster to Bitsgap

This guide explains how to create your Aster API key and connect it to the Bitsgap platform for automated and manual trading.


Creating the Aster API Key

Follow the steps below to generate your API key in Aster.

1. Log in to Your Aster Account

  • Go to your Aster account.
  • If your wallet is not connected yet, connect it first (e.g., MetaMask, WalletConnect).

2. Open API Management

  • Click More in the top navigation bar.
  • Select API Management.
  • Go to the Pro API tab and click Authorize new API wallet to create a V3 API key.

3. Prepare for Connection to Bitsgap

  • Log in to your Bitsgap account.
  • Go to the My Exchanges page and click [Add new exchange].
  • Select Aster from the list.
  • Copy Bitsgap’s trusted IP addresses displayed in the Aster setup window. Save them securely for later use.

4. Create the API Key

Go back to the Aster page and, in the pop-up window:

  • Assign a label to your new API key (for example, “Bitsgap”).
  • Click Generate to create the API key.
  • Aster will display the API wallet address (API key) and Secret Key — copy both and store them securely.

Configure the API restrictions to ensure compatibility with Bitsgap:

  • Read: Enabled
  • Spot trading: Enabled
  • Perps trading: Enabled (optional, if you plan to trade futures)
  • Withdrawal: Disabled
  • Set the Days valid field to the maximum allowed value (365 days).
  • In the IP Restrictions field, paste the Bitsgap IP addresses copied earlier and click Add.
  • Click Authorize to complete the API key creation.

5. Copy your Main Wallet address:

Click on your email in the top-right corner of the page, then copy your Main Wallet (Main Account) address and save it.


Connecting Aster to Bitsgap

After creating your API key, follow the steps below to connect Aster account to Bitsgap.

1. Go to Bitsgap → My Exchanges

  • Log in to your Bitsgap account and navigate to My Exchanges.
  • Click + Add new exchange.

2. Select Aster

In the pop-up window:

  • Choose Aster from the list of supported exchanges.
  • Enter your API wallet, Private Key and Main wallet.
  • Click Connect.

3. Verify the Connection

Once the connection is successful:

  • Aster will appear in your exchange list with a Connected status.
  • Your available trading balance will be visible in Bitsgap.
