How to Create and Set Up HTX API key

In this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps to create, configure, and connect your HTX API key to the Bitsgap platform.

Bitsgap is a powerful trading platform that allows you to manage multiple cryptocurrency exchanges from a single interface, providing additional tools not available directly on exchanges.

All trading operations on Bitsgap are carried out via an exchange-specific API key, ensuring a secure and reliable connection. The API key does not grant access to your personal data or enable withdrawals and deposits, making it a safe option for trading.

Steps to Set Up Your HTX API Key

1. Log in to HTX

Start by logging into your HTX account. If you don’t have an account yet, create one.

2. Navigate to the API Keys Page

From your account settings (located in the top-right corner), go to the API Management page.

3. Label Your API Key and Set Permissions

  • Choose a name for your API key to easily identify it as connected to your Bitsgap account.
  • Set the permissions as shown in the example below:
    • Read-Only: Enabled
    • Trade: Enabled
    • Withdraw: Disabled
    • IP Address Restrictions: Leave empty

Once the permissions are configured, click [Create].

4. Enter the Verification Code

Check your email for a verification code, then copy and paste it into the provided field. Click [Confirm] to proceed.

5. Copy Your API Key and Secret Key

Your HTX trading key is now successfully created. Copy both your API Key and Secret Key and store them in a safe location, as you’ll need them to connect to Bitsgap.

6. Add HTX to Bitsgap

  • Log in to your Bitsgap account.
  • Go to the My Exchanges page and click [Add New Exchange].

7. Connect Your HTX API Key to Bitsgap

In the pop-up window:

  • Select HTX as the exchange.
  • Enter your API Key and Secret Key into the respective fields.
  • Click [Connect].

8. Verify Connection

If everything is set up correctly, you’ll see HTX added to your list of connected exchanges with a Connected status and your trading balance displayed.
