How to use Bitsgap Demo Mode

Bitsgap’s Demo Mode is a powerful feature designed to help you explore and practice trading strategies in a risk-free environment. By using Demo Mode, you can test various trading bots and manual trading tools without affecting your real funds or making live trades on exchanges.

This guide explains how to activate Demo Mode, use its features effectively, and transition seamlessly to live trading.

Step 1: Activate Demo Mode

1. Log in to your Bitsgap account.
   Go to the Bitsgap homepage and enter your credentials.
2. Switch to Demo Mode:
   • Click on the profile sign in the top right corner.
   • Toggle on "Demo Mode" to switch your account to practice trading
     
     
     Note: Your demo trading activities are entirely separate from live trading, and no real funds are used.

Step 2: Understand the Demo Environment

Once in Demo Mode, you’ll have access to:

• Virtual Funds: A simulated balance to use for testing strategies.
• Full Access to Tools: Experience the same features as live trading, including bots, analytics, and manual trading tools. 

Note: AI-Assistant is not included in demo version.

• Risk-Free Practice: Experiment with trading without the risk of losing real funds.

Step 3: Launch a Demo Trading Bot

1. Choose a Bot Strategy:
   Select from strategies like GRID, BTD, DCA, DCA Futures or COMBO bots.
2. Set Up Parameters:
   Adjust the settings, such as trading pairs, grid levels, or investment amounts, to match your goals.
3. Start the Bot:
   Click "Start Bot" to activate it in Demo Mode. The bot will execute trades based on the market data from real exchanges.

Step 4: Practice Manual Trading

• Navigate to the Trading Tab in Demo Mode.
• Use tools like limit and market orders, stop-loss, and take-profit to simulate manual trading.
• Analyze the outcomes without financial risk.

Step 5: Monitor Performance

• Demo Portfolio:
  Track your virtual funds and evaluate your performance.
• Bot Analytics:
  Review bot-generated profits and make adjustments to refine your strategy.

Step 6: Transition to Live Trading

Once you’re confident with your strategies in Demo Mode:

1. Switch back to Live Mode using the toggle in the navigation bar.
2. Connect your exchange account via API keys if you haven’t already.
3. Implement the strategies you’ve practiced with real funds.
