How to create and set up Bybit API key

In this article, we will show you how to create, configure, and connect your Bybit and Bybit Futures API key to the Bitsgap platform.

Bitsgap is a trading platform that allows you to work with numerous cryptocurrency exchanges from a unified interface with access to additional tools that are not available on the exchange.

All trading operations are created and processed by using an exchange API key which is unique for every user. An API key is a safe and reliable way to use a platform because it does not give access to your personal data and prevents any funds management (withdrawals & deposits).

Bybit Unified Trading Account (UTA)

As Bybit's product line expands, the exchange has introduced an opportunity to unify your accounts for better trade optimization. With the Bybit Unified Trading Account, you will now be able to manage all your assets and funds in one account.

Learn more about Unified Trading in the following Bybit articles:

It is essential to upgrade to the UTA in order to trade on the exchange via Bitsgap. To do that, go to the Bybit Trade or Derivatives page and click on the Upgrade option:

Warning
With the UTA, you have only one wallet for the spot and futures market. So, when trading Bybit futures, we recommend using the Isolated margin mode to avoid risking the entire balance in case of liquidation.
