How to Manage Averaging Orders Limit and Insufficient Funds with Your DCA Bot

When running a DCA (Dollar-Cost Averaging) bot on Bitsgap, it's important to ensure you have enough available funds on your connected exchange to support active orders.

If your bot cannot place an averaging order, this usually happens because the Averaging Order Limit is enabled and your available balance is too low to cover the required amount. When this occurs, the bot will pause the averaging order and wait until the necessary funds become available.

This guide explains how to enable the Averaging Order Limit and how to resolve insufficient funds issues to keep your DCA bot running smoothly.

How to Enable the Averaging Order Limit for a DCA Bot

The Averaging Order Limit is designed to control the number of active averaging orders in your DCA bot. To enable the feature, follow these steps:

  1. Click on "Start a New Bot".
  2. Select the DCA Bot.
  3. Go to Manual Adjustment.
  4. Open the Bot Settings section.
  5. Toggle on the "Active Order Limit" option.
  6. Set all other parameters according to your strategy.
  7. Click "Continue" and then "Start Bot" to launch.

That's it! Your bot will now follow the averaging order limit you’ve set.

How to Resolve the Insufficient Funds Issue

To continue running your bot, you will need to top up your exchange balance.

Step 1: Check the Required Amount

In your bot notification, you will see the exact amount needed to proceed. For example:
Required Amount: 100 USDT

Step 2: Add Funds to Your Exchange

  1. Log in to your exchange account.
  2. Click the "Deposit" button.
  3. Select your preferred currency and deposit method, then follow the provided instructions to deposit an equivalent of 100 USDT.

Note: The deposit process and button names may vary slightly depending on the exchange you are using. If you have any difficulties, we recommend referring to the official documentation of your exchange for detailed guidance.

Step 3: Wait for Automatic Execution

Once the necessary funds have been added to your exchange account, the DCA bot will automatically detect the updated balance.

Within approximately five minutes, the averaging order will be placed, and your bot will resume its operation without any additional steps required.
