Enabling Passkey Authentication for Your Bitsgap Account
Passkeys offer a secure and convenient way to log in without traditional passwords, leveraging authentication methods such as PINs, biometrics (e.g., Face ID or Touch ID), or a password manager. Follow these steps to set up and manage a passkey for your Bitsgap account.

How to Create a Passkey
On the Web Platform

Navigate to Account Settings:
From the profile menu (top-right corner), go to Settings.

Access Security Settings:
Open the Security tab and enable the Passkey toggle.

Add a New Passkey:
Under "Your active keys," click [Add new key].

Choose Authentication Method:
In the pop-up, select your preferred authenticator (smartphone, password manager, etc.) and follow the prompts.

Finalize Setup:
Name your security key and click [Add] to complete the process.
On the Mobile App

Go to Security Settings:
Navigate to Settings → Security → Passkey in the app.

Enable Passkey Authentication:
Toggle the Passkey option and tap [Add new passkey].

Follow Prompts:
Complete the setup process using the pop-up instructions.
Managing Existing Passkeys
- Access the Your active keys section on the web or the Passkey section in the app.
- View details, edit, or delete existing passkeys as needed.
Logging In with a Passkey
Once a passkey is set up, click or tap the Passkey button during login for a seamless experience.
