The minimum investment to launch a bot
Before launching a bot, the Bitsgap platform determines the minimum investment required based on your chosen parameters. Here’s everything you need to know:
How Is the Minimum Investment Calculated?
-
Parameters Considered:
- Grid Quantity: More grids = more order = higher investment.
- Exchange Rules: Minimum order size and increment restrictions.
- Currency Pair:
- Fiat pairs (e.g., XXX/USDT): Higher investment.
- Crypto pairs (e.g., XXX/BTC): Lower investment due to smaller order limits.
-
Order Placement Logic:
- Each grid level requires a proportional order.
- To prevent issues with rising prices, minimum order size is multiplied by 2.
Example:
- On Binance, the minimum order size for XXX/USDT pairs is 10 USD.
- For 180 grids, the required investment = 10 USD × 2 × 180 = 3,600 USD.
Exchange Restrictions Explained
-
Minimum Order Size:
- Specifies the smallest amount allowed per order (e.g., 10 USD for fiat pairs).
- Orders below this threshold (e.g., 8 USD) are not permitted.
Note: You can check minimum order sizes for all exchanges directly on their websites.
-
Minimum Order Increment:
- Determines how much an order size can increase (e.g., 1.00 USD).
- Increments smaller than this (e.g., 0.10 USD) are not allowed.
