The minimum investment to launch a bot

Before launching a bot, the Bitsgap platform determines the minimum investment required based on your chosen parameters. Here’s everything you need to know:

How Is the Minimum Investment Calculated?

  1. Parameters Considered:
    • Grid Quantity: More grids = more order = higher investment.
    • Exchange Rules: Minimum order size and increment restrictions.
    • Currency Pair:

- Fiat pairs (e.g., XXX/USDT): Higher investment.

- Crypto pairs (e.g., XXX/BTC): Lower investment due to smaller order limits.

  1. Order Placement Logic:
    • Each grid level requires a proportional order.
    • To prevent issues with rising prices, minimum order size is multiplied by 2.

Example:

  • On Binance, the minimum order size for XXX/USDT pairs is 10 USD.
  • For 180 grids, the required investment = 10 USD × 2 × 180 = 3,600 USD.

Exchange Restrictions Explained

  1. Minimum Order Size:
    • Specifies the smallest amount allowed per order (e.g., 10 USD for fiat pairs).
    • Orders below this threshold (e.g., 8 USD) are not permitted.

Note: You can check minimum order sizes for all exchanges directly on their websites.

  1. Minimum Order Increment:
    • Determines how much an order size can increase (e.g., 1.00 USD).
    • Increments smaller than this (e.g., 0.10 USD) are not allowed.
